The event will be split into a 5 kilometre and a 10 kilometre race through wild, off the beaten track country.
Start times
will be staggered - the 10K kicking off at 11am, with the 5K
runners at 11:30am. The
whole event will be clearly marked out and have a maximum of 500
runners.
The 10K
will be a punishing, action-packed course suitable for endurance race
veterans or competitors who are suitably fit. Hills, woods, streams,
hedges, hummocks and hay bales will all be thrown into the mix.
The 5k will
have similar terrain as the 10K but be achievable to a wider
cross-section of entrants – make no mistake, though, it is still no
picnic. Indeed, the 5K is predicted to take even the fastest competitors
well over an hour.
Water stops
will be provided during the race.
It should
be noted the event, for all its quintessentially British and slightly
bonkers qualities, will adhere strictly to all the necessary health and
safety regulations. St John Ambulance volunteers will be present on the
day as will dozens of marshals to help monitor the course and assist
with registration, parking etc. CLICK HERE to download a Sponsor Form |
